2008-2010 Executive Council Inducted

August 17, 2008 - At the close of the 2008 Grand Chapter Meeting in Savannah, GA today, the 2008 - 2010 Executive Council was inducted in to office. Taking the lead of the Fraternity as the 44th Grand Consul is Shaun Armhold of the Delta Kappa Chapter. Along with Shaun, the other members to serve on the Executive Council will be GVC Pete Sasso, GS Elliott Robinson, GQ Troy DeSantis, GM Adam Cuocci, GE Mike Reuter, GH Bill Paulus, Grand Councillor Joe Keber, MOB Steve Moulton, MOB Mike Lucia, MOB Chris Freeman, MOB Austin Schwartz, MOB Mike Flynn, UMBO Brian Comer, and UMOB Anthony Cangialosi. This board, with representation from every active chapter, will be working hard to continue the growth of our Fraternity as well as lead us in to the 2010 Convention and beyond.

Regional Vice Consul for the Southern Region Named

October 12, 2007 - Today, Past Grand Consul Shawn M. Dowiak accepted the position of Regional Vice Consul to oversee the Southern Region. Shawn moves in to this role after serving Tau Delta Phi in the position of Grand Consul for over six years. With PGC Dowiak in place, Tau Delta Phi has filled two out of the three Regional Vice Consul positions. The remaining position is the Northern New Jersey/Greater NY/Pennsylvannia position. Our other Regional Vice Consul is PGVC Ron Bramsen who oversees the New England/Upstate NY Region. Any Frater interested in serving as a Regional Vice Consul can contact Grand Consul Joseph Keber.

Congratulations GC Joe Keber

August 12, 2007 - Tau Delta Phi Fraternity would like to congratulate Grand Consul Joe Keber on his marriage to Christa Delano on August 12th, 2007. The newly-weds also recently purchased their first home together. We wish Joe and Christa the best of luck in the next stage of their lives.

Herbert J. Goodfriend, CK

August 10, 2007 - On August 10th, 2007, Past Grand Consul Herbert J. Goodfriend, CK passed away at the age of 86. In addition to Frater Goodfriend's service on the Executive Council, he also served on the Tau Delta Phi Foundation and had offered legal advice to the Fraternity.

Born in 1921, PGC Goodfriend served as Grand Consul from 1956 - 1960. He was a graduate of New York University Law School, served in the United States Army in World War II, and had built up an extensive history in the legal field.

There was a memorial service held for Frater Goodfriend August 14th, 2007 in New York City. Tau Delta Phi wishes our condolences to the Goodfriend family and friends.
